SESSIONS IN BRAINTREE
Braintree sits at the northern edge of the South Shore — close to Quincy, straddling the line between suburbs and the more rural conservation land that opens up as you head south. For portrait work, that position gives us good access to both parks and studio, which is often exactly what a corporate or headshot client needs.
Pond Meadow Park is the best on-location option in Braintree — a large conservation area with freshwater ponds, wooded trails, and open meadows. The pond reflections, woodland paths, and seasonal color make it a versatile setting for families, seniors, and branding sessions. It's well-maintained, easy to access, and rarely crowded on weekday mornings.
Sunset Lake offers a quieter neighborhood waterfront option with good light in the afternoon. The Blue Hills Reservation extends along the Braintree/Milton/Canton border and provides wooded ridge trails, rocky outcroppings, and elevated views across Greater Boston — a dramatically different backdrop from the coastal South Shore and worth the 15-minute drive for the right session.
Braintree is also well-positioned for clients who want to combine an on-location shoot in town with a studio session in Rockland on the same day — the drive south is easy and efficient. I photograph all services in Braintree: headshots, senior portraits, family portraits, branding photography, maternity sessions, and birthday photoshoots.
STUDIO OR ON-LOCATION
My studio in Rockland is about 20 minutes south of Braintree on Route 3. It's a comfortable drive and many Braintree clients prefer the controlled studio environment — especially for headshots and corporate portraits where a clean backdrop and consistent light are the priority.
For on-location sessions, Pond Meadow Park and Sunset Lake are both easy to access within Braintree, and I'm happy to come to you at a business address or private property as well.
