I had a very fun shoot with Chris! He made the process comfortable and easy. The edits came back very lovely and he spent a lot of time going through multiple staging options to ensure I had plenty to choose from. Great photographer, and a location with so much to offer. The studio has multiple light set ups, props, furniture, and locations to shoot within the building, giving you so many looks to choose from. WHAT TO EXPECT
What a session with South Shore Photography actually looks like.
Before you book, here's what the process looks like, end to end — so the reviews above make sense in context. Most clients reach out by phone or through the contact form on this site. Chris responds personally, usually within a few hours, and asks a handful of questions: who's being photographed, what the photos are for, and what kind of look you're hoping for. From there, we pick a date and a location — outdoor along the coast, at a park, at your office, or in the Rockland studio.
The session itself runs 45–90 minutes depending on the type. Family sessions are paced for kids — short, relaxed, with breaks. Headshot sessions are more focused — 30–45 minutes for a single look, or 75 minutes for a multi-look extended session. Senior portraits run 90 minutes with 2–3 outfit changes. Branding sessions for small business owners typically run two hours with a wardrobe and prop plan agreed beforehand.
Galleries land in your inbox within 5–7 business days as a private online gallery you can share or download. Retouching is included on every selected image — skin smoothing, color correction, and subtle background cleanup. Most clients pick 15–25 final images per session; some prefer the full edited set. There are no per-image fees and no upsells to retouching that should have been included from the start.
