We start with a 15-minute planning call: where you'd like to shoot (Hingham Harbor, World's End, your office in Norwell, the dunes at Duxbury — whatever feels like you), what the headshot is for, what you're wearing, and what time of day gives us the best light at that spot. By the time we meet, the plan is locked.
On session day, we work the location for 45 to 90 minutes — multiple framings, two or three angles, an outfit change if you brought one. The natural surroundings do most of the visual work. You don't need to perform; you just need to show up and be yourself.
