SESSIONS IN HINGHAM
Hingham is one of my favorite towns to photograph in. The combination of preserved conservation land, a working harbor, and tree-lined streets gives us an unusually wide range of backdrops within just a few miles of each other. I've shot here across every season and at every time of day — and there's almost no bad light in this town.
World's End Reservation is the standout location for dramatic, sweeping compositions. The drumlin meadows, harbor views, and carriage roads make for portraits that feel cinematic without trying too hard. It works beautifully for senior portraits, maternity sessions, and family portraits alike. Bare Cove Park offers a more intimate waterfront feel — quieter, with shaded trails and open water views that catch late-afternoon light perfectly.
Hingham Harbor is ideal for branding and headshot sessions where you want an active, coastal backdrop without the chaos of a busy beach. Wompatuck State Park, which straddles the Hingham/Norwell line, gives us dense canopy and filtered light that's flattering for portraits in summer and spectacular in fall color.
I photograph all services in Hingham: headshots, senior portraits, branding photography, family portraits, maternity sessions, birthday photoshoots, and event coverage. If you have a specific location in mind — a backyard, a business, a favorite trail — I'm happy to scout it.
STUDIO OR ON-LOCATION
My studio at 83 E Water St in Rockland is about 15 minutes from Hingham — an easy drive for clients who want a controlled indoor environment with natural window light and backdrop options. Studio sessions are a great choice for headshots, executive portraits, and maternity sessions where a clean, elegant look is the priority.
That said, most Hingham clients choose to shoot on-location. The town simply has too many beautiful spots to pass up. We can even combine both — start at the studio, finish at World's End for golden hour.

Yes — World's End is managed by The Trustees of Reservations and charges a day-use fee ($8 for non-members; free for Trustees members). Fall weekend mornings during foliage season can fill early, sometimes before 8 AM. I build entry timing and any permit coordination into the booking plan for sessions at World's End. It's worth the planning — no other South Shore location produces portraits quite like it.
