WHAT'S INCLUDED
We start with a short consultation to understand your goals — what the headshot is for, the tone you want to project, and what to wear. On session day at our Rockland studio or on-location, we guide you through natural, relaxed poses that bring out the best version of you.
No awkward freezing in front of a camera. No stiff, corporate non-smiles. Just portraits that feel like you on a really good day.

WHAT MAKES THIS SESSION DIFFERENT
Our Rockland studio is set up specifically for headshots — controlled lighting rigs that eliminate unflattering shadows, neutral backdrops in white, gray, and charcoal, and enough space to try genuine variety without rushing. The controlled environment means your images are consistent and usable across every platform, whether it's a LinkedIn profile, a company directory, or a press kit.
The 2–3 outfit approach exists for a reason. Most people have at least two professional contexts — the formal presentation version of themselves and the collaborative, approachable version. Bringing both looks into a session means you leave with images for every situation rather than one image you're trying to make work everywhere. Corporate headshots and actor headshots actually have different requirements even in the same session: corporate shots tend to favor a direct, confident gaze and slightly more formal framing, while actor submissions benefit from a warmer, more expressive range. We handle both.
What LinkedIn profile managers and recruiters actually notice is approachability — a genuine expression that makes someone want to click through. That's harder to manufacture than it sounds, which is why we spend the first ten minutes of every Rockland studio session just talking before we pick up the camera. By the time we start shooting, you're relaxed, and that shows in every frame.

FAQ
Solid colors photograph best — navy, charcoal, burgundy, forest green, and warm neutrals all work well. Avoid busy patterns, thin stripes, and very bright whites, which can create exposure problems in studio lighting. All-black outfits can flatten against dark backgrounds and lose definition. Bring two or three options on session day so we can choose based on the background and lighting setup we're using. During your pre-session consultation at our Rockland studio, we'll talk through your specific goals — LinkedIn, corporate directory, actor submissions — and help you select looks that align with how you want to be perceived. Fit matters too: clothes that are slightly fitted photograph better than oversized pieces. Freshly steamed or pressed clothing makes a visible difference in final images.
Most headshot sessions at our Rockland studio run 30–60 minutes, which gives us enough time to work through multiple expressions, try two or three background options, and adjust lighting between looks without feeling rushed. The 30-minute Studio Session is designed for one focused look — typically for a corporate directory or LinkedIn update. The 60-minute On-Location Session allows more variety: different settings, outfit changes, and a broader range of expressions and framings. For clients adding an outfit change or group shot, we build in additional time. We always spend the first several minutes just talking and getting comfortable before we pick up the camera, because relaxed subjects make for significantly better headshots. By the time we start shooting, most clients have already forgotten they were nervous.
Both. Our Rockland studio is equipped with controlled lighting rigs, neutral backdrops in white, gray, and charcoal, and everything needed for clean, consistent, professional headshots that work across LinkedIn profiles, company websites, and press kits. Studio headshots are the standard choice for corporate and professional use because the background is simple and the focus is entirely on the subject. Outdoor sessions, shot on-location across the South Shore, add context and personality — a natural environment, architectural backdrop, or sense of place that communicates more about who you are. Many clients book a combination: studio shots for professional use and outdoor shots for personal branding or social media. We discuss what makes sense for your specific goals during your consultation.
Yes — you receive high-resolution digital files fully licensed for all digital and print uses, with no platform restrictions. LinkedIn profile photos, company directory images, press kits, author bios, speaker profiles, and acting submissions are all standard uses. For actor submissions specifically, we deliver files in the aspect ratios and resolutions required by Actors Access and Casting Networks. Corporate headshots are delivered at full resolution suitable for printed materials, event programs, and large-format use. You own the files and can use them wherever you need them, for as long as you need them. If you need different crops or aspect ratio versions for specific platforms after delivery, we can provide those from the original shoot files without an additional session.
Serving Rockland, Hingham, Norwell, Scituate and all of the South Shore.
