Terms of Service

Booking and Deposits

Sessions are confirmed upon receipt of a signed contract and a non-refundable retainer (deposit). The retainer secures your session date and is applied toward your total balance. Dates are not held without a retainer. Full payment is due prior to or at the time of the session unless otherwise arranged in writing.

Cancellations and Rescheduling

We understand that life happens. Our rescheduling and cancellation terms:

• — Rescheduling requests made at least 72 hours before the session will be accommodated at no charge, subject to availability.
• — Cancellations forfeit the retainer.
• — Same-day cancellations or no-shows forfeit the full session fee.
• — We reserve the right to reschedule due to severe weather, illness, or other circumstances beyond our control. In such cases, you will be offered a new date at no additional charge.

Image Delivery

Edited images are delivered via a private online gallery within approximately two weeks of the session date. Rush delivery may be available for an additional fee. Images are provided as high-resolution digital files. Printed products are ordered separately and subject to additional lead times.

Image Usage Rights

Upon full payment, clients receive a personal use license for all delivered images. This license permits:

• ✓ Printing for personal display and gifts
• ✓ Use on personal social media profiles
• ✓ Use on personal or professional websites (headshots, branding)

The license does not permit:

• — Resale or commercial licensing of images to third parties
• — Submission to stock photography platforms
• — Significant alteration or manipulation of delivered images

South Shore Photography retains copyright to all images and may use them for portfolio, website, and marketing purposes. If you prefer your images not be used for marketing, please notify us in writing prior to your session.

Model Release

By booking a session, clients grant South Shore Photography permission to use session images for portfolio, website, social media, and promotional materials, unless a written opt-out is provided before the session date.

Liability

South Shore Photography is not liable for circumstances outside our control including weather, location access restrictions, or equipment failure. In the unlikely event that deliverable images are lost due to equipment failure, liability is limited to a refund of fees paid. We are not responsible for any indirect or consequential damages.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Plymouth County, Massachusetts.
