Downtown Whitman and South Avenue add brick, storefronts, and street-level texture. For couples who do not want every frame to be trees and grass, twenty minutes downtown gives the session an entirely different register without any driving.

Ames Nowell State Park is five minutes into Abington and gives what Whitman itself does not — Cleveland Pond, wooded trails, and open water. Worth adding as a second location when you want a natural setting with more scale, and the tree line there is excellent in October.
